SnapIT Lite Ampoule Opener
AUD 15.85 – AUD 18.10
The Qlicksmart SnapIT ampoule opener was invented by an Australian registered nurse, Glen Riverstone, after too many on-the-job cuts from ampoules. While everyone suggested that he use a file, the edge of his T-shirt, or even tissue to open those glass ampoules, he wanted something with superior safety – something that could create an extended lever to protect his hand/fingers from the ampoule lid, and hold on to the broken lid.
SnapIT was designed to protect users from injury when an ampoule exposes a sharp edge or shatters while being opened. With a simple “insert and snap” action, it offers users a peace of mind when opening glass ampoules.
Item ships free for orders over $100 in Australia and USA.
Due to current global disruptions in processing and courier delivery schedules, online orders will take 5 to 7 business days to process before products can be shipped out.
I work in a hospital that doesn’t have ampule snappers and I have cut myself a few too many times on bad ampules so I decided to buy this all the way from Canada. It works perfectly and I feel much safer opening medication with this! Well worth it, everywhere should have this!

Can SnapIT Lite be sterilised?
No. If you require an ampoule opener which can be sterilised, please use the SnapIT Personal or SnapIT Trolley.
How do I tell if the SnapIT Lite is compatible with our ampoules?
SnapIT Lite comes in two sizes (Regular and Large), for opening the different sizes of ampoules. However, compatibility depends on the ampoule’s geometry and the diameter of the ampoule lid. Ampoules of the same size can have a different geometry and ampoule lid diameter. The ampoule size in ml is used only as a guideline.
You can test compatibility by gently inserting the head of the ampoule into the SnapIT Personal. If it does not easily fit, please do not force the ampoule. SnapIT Trolley edition is available in Extra Large.
How often do I need to clean SnapIT Lite?
We recommend cleaning your SnapIT regularly, to remove any glass residue that is left inside. Please check with your organisation’s cleaning routine for such devices.
If you open a “bad” ampoule and the glass shatters inside your SnapIT, clean the device immediately while wearing gloves and replace your O-Ring.
How do I clean the SnapIT Lite?
Disassemble the SnapIT Lite by removing the keyring and O-Ring as per the instructions provided in the SnapIT Lite packaging. Water and most medical-grade cleaning agents can be used.

Can I use the SnapIT Lite to open non-scored glass ampoules?
No. The SnapIT is designed to safely open scored ampoules.
If the ampoule is scored on one side (as indicated by the dot), align the dot on the ampoule with the dot on the SnapIT Lite and snap away. If the ampoule is scored all the way around (as indicated by the band), you can align the SnapIT Lite as is comfortable for yourself and snap away.
