SnapIT comes in two sizes - regular and large. This is due to the different widths of ampoule lids, depending on the ampoule size. The regular SnapIT opens ampoule sizes 1-2ml, 5-10ml, 10-15ml (common sizes), and the large SnapIT opens ampoule sizes 5-10ml, 10-15ml, 20-25ml (large sizes).
Compatibility depends on the ampoule's geometry and the diameter of the ampoule lid. Ampoules of the same size can have a different geometry and ampoule lid diameter. The ampoule size in mls is used as a guideline. ^Top

| • | It is unlikely that the glass lid will shatter inside SnapIT if used according to instructions provided. It is important to follow the Instructions of Use and align the ampoule dot with the SnapIT, then snap away from the dot; if aligned incorrectly, shattering may occur. |
| • | If there is no dot on the ampoule but there is a line around the ampoule neck, then there is no need to align the ampoule with SnapIT before snapping open. |
| • | Ampoules that have no dot or line around it can mean that the ampoule neck has no scoring. Users will need to score the ampoule before breaking open using SnapIT. Users should open ampoules as per usual if the ampoule is usually scored first (via a small saw or blade, etc.) and SnapIT is there to facilitate with the action of breaking open the ampoule. |
