Qlicksmart allows single-handed SAFE scalpel blade removal and disposal avoiding the risk and cost of injury and infection.
Convenient
The secure sharps container can be fixed to a wall, trolley or bench via a universal bracket.
Compatible
Qlicksmart Flask is compatible with blades from all commonly used reusable handles.
Easy
The scalpel is inserted into the slot in the container until the is heard. The handle is withdrawn & the blade remains sealed inside for later disposal.
No Overfilling
Qlicksmart has a counter and shut-off mechanism when the container reaches its 100-blade capacity.
Operating Theatre Use
Either of the following two methods may be used.
Method A
| • | Flask and bracket should be fixed to a suitable trolley that can be wheeled up to the THEATRE "WORK TROLLEY" at the end of that procedure. |
| • | Used scalpel blades can be removed from scalpel handles - after the final count - in a safe single handed operation. |
Method B
| • | The Flask and bracket can be fixed to a suitable wall or bench - near the sharps bin. On completion of the procedure - after the final count - the "WORK TROLLEY" can be moved to the area where sharps can be disposed of appropriately and scalpel blades can be removed and disposed of in the Qlicksmart scalpel blade remover. |
